In the four arguments that I have read about Edgar ALlen Poe's death, I have come to the conclusion that the cause for his death was Alcoholism and not rabies.
I think this because Poe had a fever when he left Richmond. He got drunk and he was found outside of a Baltimore tavern strangely dressed and semi-concious. This could have gotten him extremly sick because the weather was wintery while he was outside.
The stories that claim that Edgar Allen Poe had Rabies I think are wrong. The reason why I think this is because he didn't have a scratch or any wound to say that an animal with rabies had attacked him. If it was a long time ago that he had been bitten it could have affected him any time after he was bitten so the probability to him dieing from rabies isn't likely. His cat also was not found to have rabies. Alcoholism and exposure to the elements were far more likely.
What poe had was cerebral inflamation that was caused by to much exposure to the wintery weather outside of the tavern which he didn't care about since he was drunk and semi- concious. He eventually died in a hospital after behaving extermely delerious.
This is why I think it wasn't rabies that killed him but alcoholism and exposure to the elements. Many people die from alcogol related incidents. Poe was probably one of them.

Edgar Allen Poe, the famous poet was well known for his writing. But is also an unsolved case in the subject of death. There are two theory about his death, the theory of him having rabies, and the theory he was drunk outside a bar in the rain with a fever. After reading four stories, two on him being an alcoholic, and two on him having rabies, I believe that he was an alcoholic. Edgar Allen Poe was found outside a Baltimore bar with beaten up clothes, half conscious, and was outside in the rain with a fever. Edgar was taken to the hospital where he was acting delirious, and was claimed to have been talking to imaginary objects on the wall. His behavior wasn't normal, he was very sick. In the hospital his face was pale and was drenched in sweat. With the rabies theory, some evidence is well supportive and some of it isn't. The symptoms of rabies were sweating, paleness, and being delirious, but those could also have been cause form his cat, which didn't have rabies. And when he was found there without a scratch. Victim with rabies said that they didn't remember being bitten. Also rabies didn't react right away, rabies could start showing symptoms in the matter of years. But he had a cat called Caterina which didn't have have rabies. How could he have gotten rabies without a bite or scratch. I concluded this saying the alcohol was the case. Edgar Allen Poe was found outside a Baltimore bar, eith beaten up clothes, a fever, and half conscious. Evidence of rabies was also evidence of his fever. He was found without a bite or a scratch. Therefore he had to have died from alcohol.

I think "Poe's Death Is rewritten As Case Of RabiesNot Telltale Alcohol" has the most truth about how Poe really died because the other stories just say somethings about how Poe died but doesn't really make any sense.
In this story says that it was true that they Poe was seen in the bar in Lombard street in October 1849, deliriouse but possibly wearing someone's elses soiled clothes and it is said that Poe wasn't drunk.
but in the other stories they say that they saw him in Lombard street inOctober 1849, and he was drunk but i don't believe that he was drunk because someone can be in a bar and not drink or he could've been standing outside waiting for someone.
So in this story it is said that when he was calm and awake he refused to drink alcohol and could drink water only with great difficulty so it is said that Rabies victims frequently exhibit hydrophobia, or fear of water, because it is painful to swallow.
Sothat means that he didn't have Rabies because if he did he wouldn't be able to drink any water because it would hurt him really bad.

In turn, I would agree that Edgar Allen Poe had died of alcohalism. Said so in an excert from his biography. This is so because it supports evidence of him previously being an alcohalic; saying on several occasion that he would stop drinking to his wife and mother-in-law. He had continued to drink anyway.
In another article it says in later life he would become violently ill after a single drink. It says nothing about this at a younger age. This has left me to believe that previous drinking has damaged his organs immensely, causing drinking for him to be dangerous.
I believe that Poe, with being sensitive to alcohal, seeming to have recently been robbed, was put in a horrible state of mind and decided to drink at a bar to the point where it would soon kill him.
In his drunken state where he was found he became ill, Poe was soon sent to a hospital. Undercare he soon became much more ill as days passed. This caused dellirium and soon caused his organs to shut down. He lost all energy and died after shouting "Lord, help my soul."
Although there are rumors of him dying of such rabies and other possible incidents. I agree with his doctor that he was deceased of alcohal poisoning. Leaving the great Edgar Allen Poe dead.

The death of Edgar Allen Poe was deemed as death by alcohol or deemed as death by rabies. I support the alcohol side. The rabies side seems to work but the alcohol side fits better. When he died in 1849 we know he died in a hospital, he stayed for four days until death.
The original theory was that Poe died due to alcohol. it was reported that he had problems with alcohol. he drank to much, but on the flip side it also made him ill. so my theory is that he drank to much as always and as expected it made him ill, so was out side in the rain and wind drunk and ill, with no protection against the harsh weather he got more and more ill until found. but when they found him he was to ill to recover.
The rabies story kind of fits, but has to many holes. like it was said that the cat could have given him rabies, but it also says that the butler had gotten rid of the cat three months prior to poes death. And when he was in the hospital they would have noticed any scrathces or bites on him leading to the rabies.
Now I say it was alcohol because he was reported to have been seen already with a fever leaving Richmond. And said he didn't remember the trip back at all. So he could have stopped off at a bar, got plowed and got ill from the alcohol and stayed out side in the rain and wind without protection, and gotten gotten much to sick to recover even in the hospital. so he died.

The death of teh famous writer Egar Allen Poe was said to be that he was an alchoholic. As well they say that he might of also died by rabbies. But me I say he died by drinking to much. Becouse the rabbiesis hard to say and thealchohol one seems much better.
Isay it was becouse all the drinking Poe did. Becouse he already had some problems with alchohol. And also that his health was not to good and he kept on drinking. It has to be that he died died from drinking becouse there was no evidence of rabbies. So thats why I say he died of alchohol.
But you still think he died of rabbies lets see. They found no scratch or a bite of the cat he had. And the cat died of starvation not becouse that the cat had rabbies. So there is no evidence why Poe died of rabbies. So Edgar Allen Poe must of died becouse of alchohol while having health problems.
Back to why Egar Allen Poe died of alchohol not the rabbies. Well in 1849 when Poe was found died they say that they found Poe outside of a saloon. And there is sure to be alchohol in the saloon he died outside of. So there is a lot of evidence why Poe died of alchohol.

Michael Benitez claims that Edgar Allen Poe died because of rabies. Benitez is a reliable cardiologist. He admits he saw Poe at a bar but claims Poe was not drunk. Beniitez thinks Poe is f accused of bad conduct.
Poe was admitted at the Washington College Hospital. By the second day Poe was hallucinating and shouting at things that weren't there. By the third day Poe couldn't remember what he was doing the night before. On the fourth day he was still confused. He was having angry mood swings. Poe calmed himself down for a while but then later that day he died.
Before Poe died he was refusing alcohol and water. Refusing water is one of the symptoms of rabies. Although there were no marks or bites, one-fourth of rabies victims don't remember getting bitten. In addition to that, when infected with rabies, it just takes a few days to die. Poe had all the symptoms of rabies.
People still think Edgar Allen Poe died because of alcoholism. Legend has it that he fell drunk in a gutter and then died. Others say he died on the front steps of his house. People will think and say what they want. Although we can't deny the facts. Edgar Allen Poe was admitted to the hospital sober.
In conclusion, I believe Poe died because of rabies. He had all the symptoms: hallucination, hydrophobia and mood swings. If his death was because of alcohol he wouldn't of lived for four days. Alcohol poisoning kills within hours. Although he liked drinking when he was younger, when he got in his forty's a little glass of wine would turn his stomach. I agree with Benitezs, people falsely accused Poe with an alcohol problem.

The article I agree with is Poe's Final Days. The evidence seems more logical. They have more details onto finding out what really happened. There are staements that Poe's life wasn't the greatest which could be a reason to heavily drink. It was also said that he had a fever before leaving to Baltimore.
The weather in Baltimore seemed to be cold at the time he arrived there. With a fever intact, it could of worsen with the cold. If he got drunk he could've become careless of the temperature and went out unproperly dressed. Drunk and delirious he could of lost his luggage. He probably roamed the streets unconcious where he was heading and slept outside with a fever.
With a fever climbing its peak. He tried to find a place with some warmth. Sick and with a hangover he looked for a place he knew. He might of remembered about the polls and maybe he wanted to vote at the tavern. That could've been the reason why he was found there.
Overall he was found unconcious. He was weak and could barely speak. He was sick but with problems overlooking his heart he must of desired a drink. A drink that could make him forget. With him drunk he forgot about his health.
I think Poe died of a fever, depression and a night of drinking. It seemed he had problems that troubled him. He seemed to have too much inflicted upon him. He desired to forget by drinking that killed him. Yet there is no shame if he died a drunk. He was a great writer and even the greats have flaws.

Edgar Allan Poe died in the year of 1849. There are stories about how he died. The first theory was about him dieing from alcohol poisoning, but yet they said he couldn't keep a glass of wine down.
They also said that there was a possibility that he died form rabies, but they couldn't find a scratch or any bite marks whatsoever on him. And the cat that he owned was rabies free, so he couldn't have gotten it from her. Apparently the way he was acting in the hospital was how someone acted when they had rabies, but was also known as mania a potu (meaning madness form drinking).
So how did he die? I believe he died from alcohol poisoning. The reason why is because they don't have any evidence of him getting bitten. He had no scratches or bite marks on him anywhere. He didn't remember getting bitten by anything.
They found letters from Edgar to his wife promising her that he would change. In other words he would stop drinking. And he would write those same letters to his mother. If I do remember right before his uncle-in-law, Henry Herring, took him to the hospital Edgar was found outside of the Baltimore Saloon.
Storm Kelly ENG 2(8)- FINAL EXAM
I believe that Edgar Allen Poe infact died from rabies. My source I used to come to this conclusion was an artical from the New York Times. The article was called, "Poe's Death Is Rewritten as case of Rabies, Not Telltale Alcohol." My source includes information from researcher, Dr.R. Michael Benitez, and Dr. Henry Wilde.
Dr. Benitez adds, the day after Poe enterd Washington College Hospital he showed signs of sickness. Dr. Benitez says Poe was perspiring heavily, hallucinating, and shouting at imaginary companions. On Poe's fourth day at the hospital, he grew confused then quieted down and died. To the doctor's knowledge, this is a classic case of rabies.
When Poe became calm and he was awake, he refused to drink alcohol, but had difficulty swallowing water. Studies show Rabies victims frequently show hydrophobia, fear of water. When symptoms appear for the disease it is often rapid and brutal and will kill the victims in a few days. Dr. Henry Wilde, who treats rabies at Chulalonglcorn University Hospital says, "Poe had all the features of encephalitic rabies."
Alot of myths on how Poe died will always be among us. Plenty of theories were constructed, for how he died that night. We will never know how this great man died, because of lack of research and facts they had back then. He may have died from rabies, or from drinking himself to death as true writers like to end their lives. I srtongly believe though he contracted rabies from the dirty streets they had, and not having a vaccine for the disease. One thing I do know for sure, is, we'll never know the cause of his death, because he left no trail or no clues. Perhaps this is just one last story he wrote that he wanted the whole world to make up their own ending to. That is indeed a true Poe story.

In the case of Edgar Poe's death, there were two theories of how he died. One was alcoholism and the other was rabies. I found that alcoholism had way more evidence and logic to it than rabies did. I'm going to be talking about how he died and reasons why it's true.
In Kenneth Silvermans biography about Edgar Poe, He says that E.P. had a drinking problem at an early age. When E.P was first discovered, he was found outside of a bar half conscious not knowing where he was. Kenneth writes that the weather was cold and rainy and that E.P. had a fever at the time. When Joseph Walker brought him to the hospital, they said he was acting delirious and talking constantly to anonymous objects. Four days later he dies.
Dr.R.Michael claims that E.P. has died from rabies. His theory must have came from the symptoms E.P had at the hospital, how he was pale, sweating, and talking constantly. That could have been from the fever he had at the bar. And Michael say that the cat could have bitten him and E.P. did not remember. Studies show that the cat was rabies free. Then the hallucinations, it says that that symptom was from Ceberal Inflammation.
In conclusion, it is quite obvious that Edgar Poe died from an alcohol infection. There is no accurate evidence that Edgar died of a rabies infection. All facts go towards alcohol infection.

I honestly think that Poe's final days is the most realistic story of my options. Why you ask? It's because it had information on what Poe was doing in his final days.
It talked abut how closely related Poe's symtoms and rabies symtoms were. Everyone thought that Poe died of alcohol poisoning but if it was he wouldn't have been delirious .
He would have been able to drink alot of water if it was alcohol poisoning. It also wouldn't hurt to swallow if it was. His symtoms were much closer to rabies then alcohol poisoning. Plus the story was very detailed in what Poe did and how he felt then in the other stories.
In conclusion Poe's final days gave me the most information on Poe's death then the others. There one one thing I learned from all of the other stories though and that was Edgar Allen Poe did not die of old age

In my personal opinion I believe that Poe died of rabies not alcohol. He died while he was in the hospital. He went back and forth, between delusional and very quiet.
While someone is in the hospital they can't drink. So he had to of went in there with something other than alcohol poisoning. The hospital and doctors should be blamed for not suspecting anything else.
Poe was very delusional. He had only been there for a few days. When he stated to the doctor he had a wife, when he didn't. Not only that but he was talking to things on the wall. He was just acting very strange.
So basically I feel that he was going crazy which is a sign that he had rabies. And that Poe was not an alcoholic.

The Odyssey Values Daniel Nunez
In the great story the Odyssey as told by Homer, the Greek values Homer instilled are abundant. Some of the values are discipline, loyalty, and treating stranger with respect. These were Greek cultural standards. Many values were shown to try to teach people in most or every book. Today we all face similar situations, which includes most of the same values. Odysseus’ epic still remains to have relevance in today’s modern world.
Discipline is shown in the books of Helios the Sun God, Aeolia and the Bag of Winds, and The Sirens. In the book of Helios The Sun God Odysseus’ men ate Helios’ magic cattle. Odysseus told them not to but they didn’t have the discipline to listen to Odysseus and so the men died who ate them. The men opening the bag of winds show discipline in Aeolia and the Bag of Winds since they weren’t supposed to do so and for punishment the ship got farther away from there home. In the siren’s part of the story discipline is shown by the men having the discipline to put wax on their ears and tying Odysseus really tight so no one died.
Loyalty is shown within the books of Calypso, Ithaca, and Aeolia. It was displayed in Calypso because even though Odysseus was with Calypso the most beautiful girl in the world he always stayed true to his wife. The book of The Return to Ithaca revealed loyalty because even though Odysseus had been gone for 20 years Penelope never gave up on him. Loyalty was exposed during the book of Aeolia by the men who didn’t show their loyalty to Odysseus. They opened the bag of winds and ended up being the reason it took so long to get back to Ithaca.
The Value of treating strangers with respect was exposed in the books of Cyclops, Alcinous’ Court, and Ithaca. It was shown in the book of the Cyclops when Odysseus and his men stabbed Polyphemus in the eye. It could have been avoided if Polyphemus had treated them with respect. The value came into play in the story of Ithaca, the suitors weren’t treating Odysseus with respect and he ended up killing them all. In Alcinous’ court it was shown by the king treating Odysseus with respect and Odysseus answered all their questions. The Odyssey is an epic, which displays and teaches many Greek values to the people who read it. Discipline, loyalty, and treating strangers with respect were some of them. Today we can find those same values in modern life. The influence of Greek culture on modern western society is subtle but enormous.

The Odyssey
In the story of the odyssey there are many values told and then there were many values that had to be accomplished. Odysseus going to war was a huge choice he had to make. He had a wife and newborn baby. These things influenced his choice on going or not. But his value of being a noble fighter and living up to his word he had to go. The gods were even behind him on this choice.
The Trojan War was hard and long, over ten years long. And an uncountable number of men and people in general were killed. He went himself and fought for his name. And he lived. By fighting this war he honored the gods, because they wanted him to go. He also did things on his journey that would disgrace the gods and upset them at him.
On his journey another one of his things to do was duties. On his journey he had to keep his men safe so they could accompany him on his way home and help fight any monsters that blocked them. He needed them to also hunt, row the boat, and to be a team. Because in that time traveling the seas by yourself was a very hard thing to do, almost even impossible. But his men only lasted so long and of course Odysseus lives.
On his journey he was captured many times by many people and gods. While he was still with his men they found an island and went to it. But then they some of his men was turned into animals. Odysseus did Circes a favor and she turned all of his men back into real people. While they stayed at this island the time went real fast. Like ten years fast. They were being treated like kings everyday and got everything they wanted by many beautiful ladies. So they didn’t realize the time. After twenty years of fighting and being captured and tortured and so on he finally returned home. He could finally see his child that he could never see. Now he finally got to see him. But he was devastated when he returned to see what his men did to his land and how they were treating his wife. It was his time for revenge. He had to avenge his wife, land, and mostly his whole life! So he disguised himself and saw who was doing what to his place, then he killed them. He saw that they didn’t respect him so he shouldn’t to him. And ofcourse since his name is Odysseus he wins and everything is good again.

The Odyssey Jose Ramos
In the Odyssey the story of the Odysseus as told by Homer our hero is called to face different obstacles and journeys. He must get home with the help of Athena. In the epic journey, hero Odysseus is changed into a warrior and created into a legend.
Reason for Odysseus leaving home was to fight at Troy. Before leaving he would prepare and get ready for what was in store for him. At this time he had to leave home but not only that he had to say good bye to his wife and ready to be born son Telemachus.
Within this journey he ends up in very unknown places like. After leaving Troy he ended up at Circe’s island were he would have to sleep with her to have his men back to normal after being turned into animals. Then after leaving he ends up on Calypso’s island were he ends up there for 7 years. But within this journey he had many mentors like his mother, Athena and Agamemnon During this trip he was turned into a great warrior and good hero and a great king. Returning to his kingdom he bettered his land by killing all the men who tried to bring bad to his kingdom and tried to take his stuff. But also took his throne back and reunited with his son, wife and his people.

Michelle Cruz- The Odyssey
Greek values, though old and ancient, are still used today as the foundation to every life lesson. In the tale, “The Odyssey,” retold by Homer, discipline, respect, and motivation were everyday cultural norms. These values were found in many of the short stories in the book. Today, our world faces similar situations that include the use of these same traits. Although it was a long time ago, these qualities still have a connection to our society today.
No matter what you do, there’ll always be consequences to your actions. Discipline is one of the values that the men in the Odyssey lacked. In the story of “ The Bag of Winds,” Aeolus, the Wind Kind, gave Odysseus a bag filled with all the stormy winds that would be on there way towards their destination of Ithaca. He kept it under the deck of the boat, ordering the men to not open the bag. The men became curious and suspicious that he was hiding some sort of treasure for himself and devised a plan to open it and take what was in it. When Odysseus fell asleep, the men opened the bag and released all the vicious winds out, blowing them away from Ithaca. Because they were not disciplined enough to follow directions, they had to pay for the consequences of their actions and years were added unto their journey back home.
Even back in Greek times, respect is still considered as a huge thing. It’s how you show people your admiration towards them. In the Odyssey, the homecoming of Odysseus was supposed to be a great and joyful reunion, but came out to be the total opposite. He came to Ithaca masked as an old beggar and found his kingdom being taken over and filled with such disrespect by the suitors. He witnessed them disrespect his son, wife, and home and became deeply filled with anger. When he finally revealed himself to the suitors, Telemuchus, Odysseus’ son, killed one of the men, and at the moment they knew that all their years of disrespecting the most important factors in Odysseus’ life, would end and that they would have to pay the ultimate price.
Motivation is what kept Odysseus alive in his journey. Though he cheated on his wife with other women, he never forgot his main reason to come back home to his wife and son. Even when he was stuck on the island of Calypso, her flawless young beauty couldn’t even stop him from his desire to go home. He stayed on her island for seven years, but even with the decision to stay with her forever, he still chose his wife over her. He knew what his responsibility was and it kept him sane and brought him back home.
Odysseus’ journey was a long and unimaginable experience. He managed to escape through deadly traps and by having respect, discipline and being responsible, he finally arrived back home to Ithaca. The influence of Greek culture on modern western society can be found in everyday situations. Even if this legend had occurred millions of years ago, Odysseus’ epic tale still has relevance in today’s modern world.

Storm Kelly-The Odyssey
In the Odyssey story written and told by Homer, Greek values are shown in; obidience, respect, and motivation. These three values were everyday cultural norms. These values were found in several parts. Today we face similiar situations which include the uses of the same values. Odysseus's story still has relevance in today's modern world.
Obedience is the first important value to the story. In the Odyssey ,Odysseus tells his men to put beeswax in their ears to block out the Siren's voices. He does this so the men wouldn't die, that's how obedience comes in handy. In real life you learn obedience so you can steer yourself away from danger. Obedience is important especially when you're dealing with a leader; you listen to them so you won't get hurt, and end up with your head blown off.
The second value that is important is respect. In the story the Greeks show respect to guests and strangers. They take them in and shower them with good food and good wine. When the suitors came to Odysseus's kingdom, they trashed his home, and showed him no respect; so in return he kills them all. In real life in order to get respect you have to earn it, and most importantly act like a civilized human being.
The last value that is important is motivation. In the story Odysseus has enough motivation to leave the most beautiful woman of the land, so he could return to his kingdom. Motivation is a good thing to have because it teaches you to be patient and earn what you want. No matter how long and rough Odysseus's journey was, he still had enough motivation to return to his home and wife. In real life when you have motivation you get great things in life ,you are granted with dignity and respect.
The Odyssey is a story which demonstrates many of the Greek values. Obedience, respect, and motivation are revealed in the many stories in the Odyssey. Today we see, and show those same values in real life. Everyday someone is taught these values and everyday someone uses these values. The influence of Greek culture on modern civilization is still, and always will be alive!

The Odyssey Final Project- Don Cruz
In the story, The Odyssey, a man named Homer tells a great tale about another man named Odysseus. The story is about Odysseus going around the world doing tasks to get back home to Ithaca after the war with Troy. And in those tasks are hidden values. Here's some of the values (with there story) that I found interesting.
Loyalty could be found when Odysseus's men follow him through his dangerous journey back to Ithaca. Another way loyalty is shown is Odysseus staying true to his belief in Athena. And finally Penelope not betraying her trust to Odysseus's love.
There was no fear when Odysseus went to unknown places like Calypso's island, or the land of the dead. There was no fear when fighting the giant cyclops and his father Poseidon. And his biggest fear of all, loosing his one and only true love to a persuader.
Odysseus wanted revenge for the persuaders trying to take all that he worked for. The house, the village, the whole castle really. And for them trying to take his beautiful wife Penelope and his son Telemachus for there own. In the end he does get his revenge in a gruesome way.
I think that revenge isn't really a good thing to have but sometimes it is appropriate. Overall we learn that you shouldn't give up on your goals or dreams just because it seems to far or takes too long.

The Odyssey-Final Project
In the great story of Odysseus as told by Homer, most Greek values are explored. Discipline, respect, and revenge were the cultural norms of ancient Greece. These three values were shown in several parts of the story. Today we face similar situations which reveal some of the same values. Homer’s myth still has relevance in today’s living world.
The first value from the Odyssey is discipline which was found in the lotus eaters and the sirens when Odysseus puts beeswax in men’s ears because the sirens were about to sing. Odysseus told the men to tie him to the mast and told them that if he asked them to untie him not to untie whatever he said not to untie him.
The second value in the Odyssey story is respect. It was shown in the Cyclops when Nobody gave Odysseus his name when Odysseus asked him.
The third value in the Odyssey story is revenge. It was shown when Odysseus went from Calypso’s island and after seven years he went to Ithaca where he dressed as a beggar so no one would recognize him. He found men wanting to marry his wife to be king of Ithaca. Then Odysseus killed the maids and the servants because they broke the rules.
The Odyssey is a myth which reveals many of the Greek values. Discipline, respect, and revenge are shown in Homer’s stories. Today we can see those same values in books. The influence of Greek culture is seen in modern Western civilization.

Naruto’s journey
By Julie Tonelli
The main character is Naruto Uzumaki he is a 15 year old boy who’s dream is to become Hokage. He was taken on a journey all around the fire country. He left so he could get much stronger and learn new jutsu. His best friend Sasuke left Konoha for ultimate power to kill his older brother Itachi. All of his friends all but Sasuke stayed in the village and trained.
The reason he left was to bring Sasuke back and keep his promise to Sakura. His nindo is to always keep his promises and he plans to keep his promise to bring Sasuke back. Only one thing kept him from leaving the village and that was every single one of his friends were there. He really wanted to stay and learn with his friends and become stronger with them but he had to leave. When he left the village all he did was walk away only to look at the great faces of the Hokage.
Naruto traveled all around the fire country training with Ero-senin one of the legendary Sanin. He had three mentors they were: Iruka, Kakashi, and Jariya. Iruka was Naruto’s first sensei and closest thing to a father. Kakashi was Naruto’s second sensei and trained with him for the first year of being a ninja. Jariya is called ero-senin for being a peeping tom and always looking in the girls’ bath house. Naruto changed by learning jutsu like ultimate Harem jutsu which is where he turns into a naked girl and four tailed Kyubi which is where his red chakra takes over his body.
When Naruto returned he was more perverted more powerful and knew new jutsu. He became wiser, taller, and stronger. The only thing that didn’t change was that he was still stupid. Sakura thought Naruto was smarter then he actually was. She also thought he was more mature. Of course he wasn’t still the stupid immature Naruto.
Naruto is still trying to bring back Sasuke. He met him in a secret cavern and they fought but Sasuke was still stronger then Naruto. At the moment Naruto and friends are trying to beat the crap out of Tobi. Sasuke killed his brother which made me mad. Tobi saved Sasuke which also made me mad.

Jocelyn Machado The Odyssey
The Greeks are known to have cultural values in their stories. These values are taught to their own and to the ones interested in the values that the Greeks teach and learn. In the Odyssey the most important values are taught in The Lotus Eaters, The Sirens and The Cyclops. These values can really teach us something about life. That is why these stories are great not only to read but also to learn about.
The story closely related to my life is The Lotus Eaters. It relates to my life because I have seen how addictions make people forget their dreams. In the Lotus Eaters Odysseus's men eat Lotus and forget about returning home. This story shows how peopls sometimes fall for that dreamland happiness which makes them forget about real life. Which means we need to overcome temptations in order to succeed in life.
A value that is important is the one shown in the Sirens. Beauty can be decieving. In the Sirens, the beautiful song of the Sirens kills men. Just like a handsome man could be a murder or a beautiful woman be a thief. In life what could be beautiful in eyes could be heartless and black on the inside.
Boasting can come back at you is a value that should always be considered in life. Boasting is just a stupid action action made by stupid people because in this world we are all the same: People in the world living life. In the Cyclops, Odysseus boasts to Polyphemus about blinding him, which leads to Odysseus getting punished by Poseidon who makes Odysseus's journey longer. It funny when a well-put togther person boasts about their success to someone having troubles and then in a few years that person is where that someone was. Well that's how life plays out one minute your on top and the next you are down in the rocks.
Values are a good thing to have. They can help us be a better person. They may even help us treat people better than what we do. There are many values to follow and learn about in life. The thing is that values help us understand noy only ourselves but also the people around us.

Michelle Wilkes--- The Odyssey
In the story The Odyssey we see many Greek values. Honesty/truth, following directions, and leave another mans kingdom alone were all seen in The Odyssey. These values were seen all over the story. Today we also have similar situations, which have consisted of the same values.
In the story The Odyssey we see the values truth and honesty many times. One of the times is when Odysseus is with Calypso. He tells her that he loves his wife Penelope, and wants to go home. Another part is when Odysseus is with King Alcinous. Odysseus tells the King about his journey and how he wants to go home. The King then gave him a ship. So Odysseus had used honest/truth both those times in the story.
The second value we see in The Odyssey is following directions. It shows that if you don't follow directions you will get killed or at least get hurt. In the beggining of Odysseus's journey when he had went to Cicones, Odysseus's men had killed the cattle. Then many of his men had died. Further on in his journey Witch Circe had told Odysseus and his men not to touch the cattle. But they ended up eating the cattle. So Zeus punished them all by sinking their ship. The only survivor was Odysseus. So this shows that if they would have followed directions none of it would have happened.
In the very end of The Odyssey when Odysseus reaches home we see the value that you should leave Odysseus's Kingdom alone or harm will come to you. The suitors are trying to take his Kingdom over. So Odysseus pretends to be a beggar, he only lets his son, Telemachus knoow who he really is. Odysseus had passed the bow test. Which is designed for only Odysseus to pass. Then Odysseus, Telemachus, and the Cow and Swine herd all slaughtered the suitors. So we see that if you mess with a Kingdom/home that belongs to someone else, they will get revenge on you .
The Odyssey is a story, which demonstrates many of the Greek values. Honesty/truth, following directions, and leave a persons Kingdom alone are all shown in many parts of The Odyssey.
Today we can see those same values in our life. The influence of Greek culture on modern society is greatly shown all over the world.

The theme on "Gift of the Magi" is on a special moral we should all remember. Love is more important than gifts and money. If you have a significant other all you should do is shower them with lots of love and not lust. Della and Jim are a perfect example of this web we all get into when we find the one we love. You feel you should give up what's important to you, so you can buy them something you think they'll adore.
In the story Della doesn't have enogh money to buy Jim something. Day after day, penny after penny she saves up. In the end she's left with one dollar and eighty seven cents. Desperation comes over her and a brutal decision creeps up on her. She hastly goes to a women who's willing to buy Della's beautiful, and knee-length hair for a hefty price of twenty dollars. Her hair is what is important to her, and what makes her the lovely person she is, and what Jim also likes about her.
Jim's greatest possesion is his stunning gold watch. Which happens to belong to his grandfather. Jim loves his wife's cascading brown hair. So he wants to show his love for her with a set of tortise shell combs. He knows Della has been admiring the combs for some time now. So he sells the priceless, family heirloom to buy the lust and not the love.
The moment comes to exchange the precious gifts. Each gift was rapidly thought of. Extremes were made to get the two gifts that signify the lust they both want to show eachother. In the end the gifts were worthless. They gave away their greatest gifts of love, in exchange for consumer material.
So the moral is never let lust, and consumer products get in the way of how you really feel for a person. If you have nothing to offer in the form of gifts, don't sell something that you value such as hair and a watch. Give your greatest gift that doesn't include money or wrapping paper. Give your gift of love, after all it's wrapped up in a neat little package setteled in your heart.

Gift of the Magi is a story that takes place in the 1900's where a couple is in a financial flat before Christmas. Della, a beautiful long haired woman, wants to get her husband, Jim, something for his gorges watch on Christmas but only has $1.87. Jim has an idea of what Della wants but doesn't seem to have enough for Christmas.
Its Christmas eve and the couple head out in different directions hoping to surprise the other with a gift worthy for each other. Della walks the streets and passes by a salon that buys hair for wigs. She gets her hair cut to where she is like a Coney Island chorus girl and sells it for $20. She comes home waiting for the arrival of her night in shining armor Jim.
Jim comes home and sees that His beautiful long haired wife Della, no longer has long hair. Della reasons out why she had cut her hair hoping that Jim will stop looking at her in that blank face. Jim laughs and explains why he had that face and handed her the present. In excitement she opens the present and is in awe.
It was the combs used in Broadway that she wanted. But her hair was cut too short to use the combs. She gives Jim the precious metal she bought with the $20 and watches the expression on his face. He chuckles for he had sold his gorges watch to buy Della the Broadway combs. So when the night was through Della and Jim both slept with things that are useless but there meaning is fulfilling.
At the end the author writes,"The Magi, as you know, were wise men-wonderful wise men-who brought gifts to the baby in the manger. They invented the art of giving Christmas presents. Being wise, their gifts were no doubt wise ones, possibly bearing the privilege of exchange in case of duplication. And here i have lamely related to you the uneventful chronicle of two foolish children in a flat who most unwisely sacrificed for each other the greatest treasures of their house. But in a last word to the wise of these days, let it be said that all of who give gifts, these two were the wisest. Of all who give and receive gift, such as they are the wisest. Everywhere they are the wisest. They are the Magi."
